Copy all three files: MC.COM MC.MNU MC.HLP You need to make sure the SHELL environment is set. Also the following keys are available: UP/DOWN : Move view selection up/down CTRL UP/DOWN : Page view up/down TAB : Change to left/right view ENTER : Enter a directory / execute item CTRL+ENTER : Enter a directory on opposite view CTRL+BACKSPACE: Go to parent directory SELECT : Select a file + : Select all files - : Unselect all files * : Invert all files selection CTRL-A : Change recursively file attributes CTRL-D : Change current drive CTRL-F : Filter view (wild cards) CTRL-I : Show drive information CTRL-P : Swap panels left/right CTRL-R : Rescan view (refresh) CTRL-S : Sort view alphabetically F1 : Show this help F2 : Open user's menu (see user's menu) F3 : View a text file. Pressing any key pages down the file. You can edit the file pressing F4 F4 : Edit a file (see configuration) F5 : Copy a file/folder recursively F6 : Move or rename file. To rename left and right path must be the same F7 : Make a new directory F8 : Delete file/folder recursively F9 : Open pull-down menu F10 : Exit program --------------------------------------------------------------- ALIAS: --------------------------------------------------------------- For MSX-DOS 2.44 you can set ALIAS for each extension, like: ALIAS .BAS = "BASIC " ALIAS .ROM = "ROMLOAD " This will automatize the loading of those files by just selecting then and pressing ENTER. Configure them in your AUTOEXEC.BAT --------------------------------------------------------------- USER'S MENU / CONFIGURATIONS: --------------------------------------------------------------- MC has a configurable menu for user commands. You can specify up to 255 commands to accessed through user dialog (F2). See MC.MNU file for more details, or go to Option -> Configurations. Also, the default editor (F4) is set there.
